Prohibited Items Policy

Mureza does not allow parcels that are illegal, dangerous, restricted, or unsuitable for transport through the marketplace. This policy helps protect travellers, senders, receivers, and payment partners.

Items not allowed on Mureza

  • Illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and replica weapons
  • Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or fraudulent documents
  • Hazardous chemicals, flammable materials, or toxic substances
  • Live animals, human remains, or biological materials requiring special handling
  • Cash, high-risk financial instruments, or unapproved valuables
  • Items prohibited by customs, export controls, or airline baggage rules

Restricted or review-required items

Some categories may require additional review, photos, or manual approval before they can be matched with a traveller. Mureza may limit parcel size, value, fragility, or category based on corridor risk and operating rules.

Accurate declarations are required

Senders must describe the parcel accurately, including its contents, category, value, and handling requirements. Misdeclared or concealed items may lead to cancellation, loss of refund eligibility, or account suspension.

Airline and customs compliance

Travellers and senders must comply with the baggage, customs, and import rules that apply on the relevant route. Mureza may reject items that create customs or regulatory risk even if they are lawful in some jurisdictions.

Platform enforcement

Mureza may block listings, freeze payout, cancel transactions, request more information, or suspend accounts where a parcel appears prohibited, suspicious, or materially different from what was declared.

Right to refuse service

Mureza reserves the right to refuse any parcel that creates safety, legal, compliance, reputational, or payment risk for the platform or its users.

If a prohibited item is detected

If Mureza or a traveller detects a prohibited item, the transaction may be stopped immediately and the case may be escalated for investigation. Refund outcomes depend on the circumstances and whether the sender breached the marketplace rules.

Need clarification?

If a sender is unsure whether an item is allowed, they should contact Mureza before listing it on the platform.
